TODO - Particles and beating hearts

Today was a hard day to get started, after work I was really feeling the activation energy flow. The only problem however was that I directed it towards cleaning and putting up some art prints. After cleaning for about 3 hours I didn't really feel like starting more work. However, I have to do it every day and Jessy bugged me about it, so here I am.

I started off easy and created 3 meat particles and 1 shine particle, setting them up wasn't that hard since I already had particle emitters from the tutorial. I swapped out the art and adjust the settings, I also found out that you can set custom points on graphics and then reference those points in the events. I can see this being a useful thing later one, but for now, I just used it to adjust where the particles spawn out of each object.


Particles updated, awesome! But still, not enough work is done.... so time to animate the heart. I took the graphic and created a copy, then adjusted some of the lines to make the heart larger in 3 areas. I set up the heart at 3 fps and added 2 frames of the normal heart and 1 of the updated larger heart. This makes it look like it's beating when it's on-screen. I didn't feel like this quite enough though so I then created a TODO list, and filled in most of the development steps still required. I also started fleshing out marketing steps, as I'm going to have to start thinking about those in a couple of weeks.


Step 13/1000 - Today was hard but I really feel like, even though it started at an excuse to not really work, making the TODO list will help keep me focused in the coming weeks.
