I had a meeting with Zack yesterday and went over the next steps for our game, along with finally updating the website. I added the latest games (Frantic Fighter + Fishing for Jelly) and updated the shop page. I also ended up creating a new graphic based on the Frantic Fighter logo, and then posted 3 more items on redbubble :) I got caught up in a lot of tangents, but all of it ended up being productive to some degree!
Today's big focus has been on the UI for the dating game, I'm happy with how the buttons look but still have work to do with the symbol holders and timer on the game screen. My plan is to spend more time on the artwork for this one so I can use it as a proof of concept for game commissions. My plan is to sell one-off customized versions of the games I'm creating, but I need something more solid than what I've been creating before I feel comfortable trying to sell it.
My plan was to start making the dating game soon, but I didn't really have a main mechanic I wanted besides the dating aspect. I found that the mechanic from Frantic Fighter was fun enough that I'd be happy play-testing the system more, so I thought that was a good sign to use that mechanic for the dating game.
Overall I'm excited to see the final product that I can achieve if I spend time polishing, instead of just trying to push games out. That being said, I'm also already pumped for the next game that I push out super quickly, something about creating and releasing a game in just 3-4 days is super satisfying. Step 91/1000
