Started off today by taking a wonderfully drawn heart (thanks Jessy :D ) and adding color, shades, highlights, and the border, before swapping it into the game. Love how it's looking, and I can't wait to see it with a particle effect! I kinda love the idea of gaining more total hearts because you ate human hearts, wasn't what I had originally thought but I'm happy I changed my plan.
The next thing I worked on was the popup for evolving, it didn't take long since I was able to take the popup design already created and just create an icon and a small amount of text. Getting it up and running in GDevelop 5 was also quite easy.
Last but not least today I worked on the graphics to be used for evolving Tadpole Man, I landed on using a black background with an effect as Tadpole man flickers and evolves into his next form. I'm going to have to set up the animation, and I haven't done much of that in GDevelop 5 yet, but I think it'll be an easy task to learn on. Jessy helped once again with the colors and I applied gradient masking, which is a new technique I learned today.
I can already see the finish line for this game, even though there's still quite a bit of work left my brain has already started to think about what the next project might be.
