I took all the parts that Jessy created and for Tadpole Man and brought them in AI, after doing some image tracing and cleaning up, I was able to make them al vector and remove the black border. Building the walk cycle took a little bit of time but I planned out beforehand what frames I was going to use so I knew I only needed 7 images. The death cycle wasn't bad to design either, with over half of the frames being just his head.
Animating was fun but time-consuming, I'm really happy with how they came out but I know after I'm finished animating the next two levels of Tadpole Man I'll be happy to find a tool that can assist with the animation. Setting up the animations wasn't that hard, and before long I had him walking, getting hit and dying. I adjusted the walking speed to match his animation more, and I'm really liking how it feels.
Step 21/1000 - I might work on the backgrounds tomorrow, I found some art to work with but it's going to need a lot of adjustments.
I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. It was incredible watching you work on this. I love his little tappy feet 😭💙💙
